High School Tennis Season

Girls High School tennis practice just started this week and already we have a controversy. One of our top players has been told she can not play because her parents, who lost their jobs, do not have health insurance. The school can not risk her getting hurt and not being covered due to budget constraints. This seems totally unfair to the girl and her parents, who are good people. What is the policy in other states for insurance coverage of athletes. This seems like it might become a national concern as more and more people are losing medical benefits. I guess it is a sign of the times. If you ask me, the school has made a double fault.
