2010 Wimbledon Final Preview: Serena Williams versus Vera Zvonareva
There are phases and then there are trends! After the surprise victory of francesca schiavone in the French Open 2010 final, many tennis pundits predicted that days of a few names dominating women tennis circuit might be over. It was pretty apparent in the semi-final line up of the womens' draw in the Championships 2010, where only Serena was the only top seed. And, now the three times Wimbledon champion faces the feisty Russian Vera Zvonareva in the final, who is the second-lowest-ranked woman reaching the Wimbledon final in the history of the Championships. Certainly a match of odds, but there is a lot to look forward to...
