Men's Vogue party for James Blake

Men's Vogue threw a US Open party for tennis star James Blake.

James admitted that he’s no longer nervous approaching matches, but fashion parties still give him the jitters.

“Walking into a match is second nature now, but these types of parties aren’t. Not yet, anyway,” he said, adding, as he tugged on the lapel of his Hugo Boss suit, “but if I think I look nice they’re not too bad.”

His childhood pal John Mayer attended the party too.

"He's such an incredible musician. We're just so happy to see each other careers grow." - said Blake.

"They're really supportive of each other," adds Blake's older brother Thomas Blake. "Whenever they're in the same town, John is sure to go to James's tournaments and James is always at his concerts."

James also attended the 9th annual 'BNP Paribas Taste of Tennis' event and was, like Andy Roddick, cooking with Gotham Bar & Grill chef Alfred Portale!
