Jelena enjoys touring the countryside of Serbia

JJ said that it is nice in Belgrade and in Florida where she spends most of her time between tournaments, but Zlatibor conquered the heart of "world's No.3". Last few days our tennis player spends among Golden Pines (that's the literal translation of Zlatibor) and on Monday she and her parents had a meeting with local officials about the possibility of building a tennis academy there.

"I will rest on Zlatibor for a few days. It's beautiful here. We'll soon make a decision about the academy. For now I just want to regenerate my body, I'm exhausted after playing many tournaments. I believe that one day I'll be resident of Zlatibor."

Here is the excerpt from Jelena's blog:

"It is very hard to describe the ambiance. There is nothing better than seeing sincere people who love me and respect me, kids that are running all around, and not to mention the quality of food and variety of domestic specialties. I feel like at home here. I can finally relax and that is hard to find all around the world when I travel. I walk and hike all the time, and I visit small villages and surroundings to see everything traditional from Serbia."

Jelena pulled out of Birmingham tourney because of arm injury and after this rest she'll go straight to Wimbledon.

"The expectations of Serbian public and my own wishes are the same. I'll give my all and we'll see what happens, said JJ with a smile on her face. That's why I need to "recharge my batteries".

Zlatibor conquered Jelena, but during her first night there she also conquered Zlatibor. She didn't find it hard to sign autographs for all the passersby who, of course, follow all her matches. She was signing them for two hours right there on the street. Tennis diva simply conquers with her charm and openness.

Jelena also visited Kustendorf. She is a good friend with Emir Kusturica and he invited her to visit his ethno village.

JJ wrote blog from Zlatibor and Mokra Gora (Kustendorf) which you can read here.
