Bracket Pick 'em Challenge - Australian Open

Hi Tennis Fans,

If you are into following the pros, come play this bracket challenge game with us. You pick the winners of all the Aussie Open matches to the final, before the first point is ever played. Each correct pick gets you points. The person with the most points wins. Wins what? *bragging rights*.

Here's an interesting twist: Everyone that plays the challenge here is on the Tennisopolis Team which is up against some other tennis websites and message boards. We're calling it the Battle-Of-The-Boards.

The Aussie Open starts Sunday Night (for us), so our picks have to be in by then. Actually, why don't you go ahead and make your picks now? Here's the link: http://www.xlw93.dial.pipex.com/pickemef.htm?n=1

Let me know if you need any assistance. When signing up, they'll ask for your name/nationality/team. In the team slot, write Tennisopolis.com - this will show up on the leader board.

I think we can keep the discussion right here in this blog post. C'mon people, let's kick some butt!

That sucks, I've known people like that and it can be terribly frustrating to deal with them. But maybe it will give you a chance to reanalyze your original picks. I'm such a flip flopper that I usually don't submit until the very last second, and I literally mean the very last second.

Ouch! So sorry to hear that! you know what maybe he/she did you a favor - that was a rough draft - and now you get to do it right!

So, I had most of my picks finished, and planned to finish up my bracket as soon as I got home because I wanted to wait on the Tursunov/Guccione match result. Well, I see the match hasn't started, but that's not the point. The point is that a family member of mine closed all my windows, including my bracket. When I asked "why," seeing that we use separate accounts and that my windows weren't bothering anybody, the response was "I checked to see if there was anything important and I didn't see anything so I just closed everything." What's the point if it's on MY account??? What were MY windows doing to anybody??? Then, dear family member wants to get mad because I say that I don't understand what the point was in closing all my windows, just to log off my account and use their own. Who's supposed to be mad here??? Am I the one who caused this mess? Am I the one unneccesarily closing other people's windows on their accounts because I deem them unimportant??? Then dear family member mutters under their breath "fine I won't do it again" in the process of turning their back and walking off. Hah! I mean really! The level of immaturity! I'm just thrilled to pieces ladies and gentlemen. JUST thrilled.

Starting over again.

A potentially great match to watch in the first round: John Isner (fmr. UGA star, 6'7'') vs. Fabrice "Spin Doctor" Santoro. I love Santoro's style, and to watch him take on the behemoth Isner will be a joy to observe.

Very tough first rounds. Especially the Murray/Tsonga, omg that one is impossible.

So true - I am just going with gut feelings, and I ended up with some interesting "friendly" matchups later in the tourney.
