i started as a 3.0 player in the middle-to-late 1990's. i worked my upward, to the 3.5 world, to the 4.0 world, and eventually to the 4.5 level. i was listed as a 4.5 player from 2010 until 2013. i was never a monster as a 4.5 player. i lost a lot, a lot, a lot of matches in my 4.5 USTA LEAGUE career, mostly in doubles, and sometimes in singles. i ended up with an injury to my shoulder/rotator cuff about one month after being to promoted to the 4.5 world, and everything was ruined after that one.  i was "stuck" in the 4.5 world for 3 years or so. my NTRP level is 4.0 now.  my knees hurt from too much distance running, from the late 1980's until 2014 or so.  i have played USTA LEAGUE mixed doubles, in all the levels,
