Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I used to play almost everyday back in high school and then some in college, but I blew my knee out. After years of not playing, I decided to give it a try again.
I'm a photographer, an ex-bond trader, former newspaper publisher and editor, and now an HR manager, so I am used to juggling a lot of different things. Now I'm trying to juggle tennis balls- not very successfully.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
All time faves- Arthur Ashe - he was grace on and off the court; and John McEnroe - he's Mac!
Current fave - Federer - he's one cool cookie, his game is practically perfect.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
I'm getting there., Just started.
On the court, I am a:
singles player
My favorite local courts:
There are a couple of courts over at Glen Alla Park that I like. They're kind of off the beaten path.
Hey:
I'm kind of a beginner myself. I mean, I can play OK, but I've got a lot to learn, although I've got a pretty mean forehand. Lots of enthusiasm, love to play, so if you're just looking for a play/volley partner, I'm definitely the dude. Like I said, nice and enthusiastic. I'm in Santa Monica, and usually play over at Penmar in your 'hood. I work til 6, can play some days after work and weekends. If you have patience, we can play and hopefully I can improve my serve. I'm just looking to have some fun and exercise and hit back and all that.
Hi Iford! It's great to have you here! I used to live in Venice - I miss it so much. I lived on Venice Blvd across from the fire station. Loved it.
I see you already joined a Group – fantastic, have fun!

We are all very excited to have created this "community-based" tennis social network which puts the focus on the members.
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

Cool. I'm an editor also. Web sites, books, magazines, you name it.

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Look through the Groups or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.
Tennisopolis is also a great place to network with people all across the country and talk about this game we love.
The Forum is really the hub of the online community. It’s is a fantastic place to get tips for your game, chat about the latest gear, and especially, talk about the pros.
Other places to explore:
- post youtube videos.
- add your own photos.
- write your own blog entries.
…and just hang out and meet great people.
Welcome aboard,
Mark
