I'm a musician and writer, but also a competitive athlete. Golf, basketball, bike-riding, swimming, tennis...

I was a state-champion baseball player (PA) back in the day, but I can't stand the game anymore. Too slow. Like the sports that you actively participate in.

As for tennis, I never played on the team in high school because it conflicted with other sports. I also have never taken a lesson. However, I will say this- my serve is HOT and about 60% in (1st serve) and I'm pretty sure I can give ANYONE who is non-pro a good enough challenge.

My favorite local courts:

Griffith Park, up by the Greek. Secondarily I'll take Riverside, down by the 5... although it's a little loud because of the 5. I do appreciate the fact that they have lights though.
