Hey Aaron - thanks for your email/comment. Starting up is the hardest part! It's amazing when you first start how hard it is to even get going so do yourself a favor and set yourself up with other beginners and a teacher that specializes in this. This is what I would do: Enroll in a class for like $60 at LACC (Los Angeles City College) - it's in their Community Services section. There you will learn the basics and get some practice in. And don't think I think I'm such a bad-ass that I can't be bothered. In fact, I will probably be enrolling myself in one of the intermediate classes so maybe I will meet you out there.
Once you feel you are volleying pretty good, try me again! It'd be nice to have some tennis buddies in the hood!
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
Thanks to everyone inviting their friends, we now have over 19,500 members and we're growing by 80 new members a day. Invite yours too!
