Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
Not sure if my rating is accurate, so here's a better description...
I'm in decent shape -- wouldn't say athletic I guess, but definitely above average -- so I have good acceleration towards shots, and I'm never short of "hustle." Expect me to get after everything you hit; may not get a good angle on it if it's well-placed and fast enough, but I'll usually get there. My serve needs work, but it's getting better. Started getting a better angle on it this year and it's started to speed up a bit with my confidence in the placement of it. It is still probably not as good as most people that have even played in high school or had some sort of formal training (I have had none.) I now have a drop shot that I have been able to put some nasty spin on at times, but I don't go to it a lot because it often doesn't work at higher speeds or greater distances from the net. I don't really have topspin in my shots, but starting to work on that here and there.
Anyway, I'd say my acceleration/fitness and my shot placement are the strongest parts of my game, but I have had no formal training and don't play enough to really practice some of the finer points. I would like to play some partners that are better than me (shouldn't be hard to find?! ;-) ) so I can study their game/form a bit and find out where I should be headed, but I'm also open to playing anyone that wants to have fun and not just stand there and let the ball go by!
