Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I moved to Portland a few months ago, just before it started to rain, and I'm interested in finding people to hit with. I am an accomplished player but I'm much more interested in hitting for precision, power and beauty than I am in competition. If I played competitively, I'd say my skills are probably about a 4.5 but my current stamina is about a 3.5 - I'm interesting in finding people to hit with at any range who can keep the ball in brisk play and make it interesting. My new home is in Laurelhurst and I'm excited about living in Portland. I work from home so I'm pretty flexible in terms of hours when I can play.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
Aside from the FedEx and Nadal? I love Blake - but I wish he'd win more often. Roddick's game seem to be catching up with his blistering serve - the Wimbledon final was great tennis! Thee are so many great players, in both the men's and women's field today - but I still miss the champs of my youth like Laver and Newcombe and Ashe - and of course, Billie Jean King. Anybody remember Clark Graebner? Pancho Gonzalez? Virginia Wade?
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
Not bad, NTRP 4.0, If tennis is on TV - I am watching
