Still in Beverly HIlls, CA, as above
Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
Probably 3.0 or so. Played well when I was a teenager, I've taken many classes and practiced a lot over the last six months--so am pretty good. My main goal is fun, exercise, getting better at tennis with this group, and more fun. . My time is 100% FLEXIBLE--but I prefer playing in the morning or later afternoon (not in the mid-day heat or sun.)
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
I'd rather play sports than sit down and watch people on TV.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
Not bad., NTRP 2.5, NTRP 3.0, NTRP 3.5
On the court, I am a:
doubles partner, singles player, serve-n-volleyer, one-hander, grunter, gracious winner, gracious loser
My favorite local courts:
The ones near me!!! I live in Beverly Hills, and there are courts at Olympic and Roxbury, as well at at La Cienega and Olympic..as I recall, they are pretty nice and I get a resident's discount.

Hi! Welcome to the "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you. We created this place in December and it has been a wild ride ever since - we've gone viral and now we're "almost famous".

What can you do here?
At Tennisopolis, you can:
- meet other players. Here's a primer on how to find partners.
- join a Group. Members have started over 190 Local Groups (and other types of Groups too.) Search for one in your area, or start your own.
- follow the pros. There are over 500 blog posts on Tennisopolis. Have a good read, or write your own.
- improve your game. Get tips in the Forum and check out video lessons.
- post your own Videos or embed your favorites from youtube.
- add your own Photos.
- and just hang out and connect with great people.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

Thanks to everyone inviting their friends, we now have over 12,400 members and we're growing by 90 new members a day. Invite yours too!

If you need any help, let me know.

Hi Robert,

I recently moved back to the LA area.

I am working part time at the Burbank Tennis Center. I thought it would be a great way to make friends that enjoy the game. It's a beautiful venue, they even have clay courts, (and I can play for free of course)....

If you are ineterested in having fun, (I don't take tennis seriously), I just love to get out and play, you can email me at dpbey@yahoo.com. I am always available.

Good luck on this site, I just joined as well.

Hi. I recently moved back to WLA (I was born here), from the SF area. I played well as a kid, but am now older and perhaps wiser. My time is 100% free (want to take the dogs for a walk too?? they love tennis balls!!) (I went to grad school twice, so I'm educated and worldly) and I'm up for re-learning my tennis skills anytime you are (if you are nice, happy, patient and not a bloodthirsty tennis player--at least not with me!)
Looking forward to making friends from this site, and also becoming a better tennis player. I'm a BH resident and as I recall the BH courts on La Cienega are pretty nice...or at Roxbury, etc.
