Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
Je parle français et adorerais trouver des francophones qui jouent au tennis. A part ça, bon, je me décrirai en anglais (mon français n'est pas si bon que ça!!).
I'm 35. I'm also a 3.5 (when out of practice, like nowadays). When in practice, I'm more like a 4.0. My worst stroke BY FAR is my second serve--it's not much better than a dink serve, although I was once shown how to do a kick serve and practiced for like, 5 minutes. My second worst area is net play. I'm okay, but haven't really practiced this since high school. My forehand, backhand, and 1st serve generally have pace and placement (placement after I get some practice).
Ideally, I'll find that elusive, "perfect" tennis partner, where neither of you has a clear jump on the other. It's shockingly hard to find! But more than anything, I just want to enjoy playing tennis with someone. Everything else is icing.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
Well, if you live in Santa Rosa, I'd be happy to hit with you. If that's not the case, then SF is too far. I was living there in 2009 and looking for hitting partners. I see you've found one or two - best
we're friends now!! i joined the bay area baseliners. seemed like there were more casual members in that versus san francisco gamers. we shall see if i can find some partners! :)
