Tennis partners in the MIT Cambridge, MA area. Everyone welcome.Note from group creator: I'm an MIT grad student there if anyone is interested in using MIT facilities. I used to be a 5.0 player back in the days, but haven't played seriously for a few years [Probably 4.0 by now]. I'd like to get back in the game.See More

Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I love to play tennis. I'll play anytime, day or night (within reason), drop me a line and we'll set something up. I moved out here from upstate NY and have been having a great time but want to get more tennis in! I would say that I am a 4.0, maybe a little higher, but I have never really been "rated" or whatever you want to call it. See ya on the court!
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
Agassi (RIP ATP career), Nadal, Safin (RIP ATP career), "come on Tim" (RIP ATP career), Monfils, Verdasco, Federer, anyone who has a personality and makes the game fun to watch
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
NTRP 4.0, Not bad., If tennis is on TV - I am watching.
I have played in Hermosa at the Clark stadium courts and the HS courts on Artesia, Mira Costa? Now my favorite spot to play is Anderson Park on Ringe off of Manhattan Beach Blvd. in Redondo Beach. I have played at live Oak Park but it's 6 or 7 an hour, kind of pricey for something that should be free.
Hi Nate, thanks for your message. We actually just started playing this past week because the weather was so nice. I have access to courts in my complex which is in the Brookline/JP area. I'll be scheduling more games whenever we get good weather again so I can keep you posted. I'm also the organizer for the Boston Tennis Group Meetup which you're welcome to sign for.
Hi Nate. I'm new to the group (just moved down here from SF) and looking for a game during the week, preferably mid-late afternoon before courts start to fill up (like 3:30, 4-ish?). Would play sets if you'd like, but I'd also be up just to hit. Any interest this week or next?
