Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
Love to hit, practice, work on my shots - tennis is a game, not just a competition. It's also a conversation whose goal is to make both of us expand our vocabulary and physicial abilities. If we have fun hitting together, we should also become good friends.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
Novak Djokovic - he's awesome. Saw the Men's final at Flushing Meadows. The man is incredible - flawless return of serve which paralyzed Nadal. Also, he hurt his back in the final set and totally shifted his game from counter-punching to baseline aggressive. To be able to do that when hurt and in a Grand Slam Final was truly amazing.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
Have played on clay when I was younger in Europe (New Yorker but lived in Swtizerland for over 20 years), so I still love clay (96th Street and West Side Highway). Play mostly uptown near Yankee Stadium, in New Jersey (Maywood) in the winter (doubles). But also play on a private court on the Upper East Side - weather permitting.

Hey Mitch - I saw your posts in the Manhattan tennis group so thought I'd reach out. I just moved back to NYC, and am up for playing tennis at any time or court where there's minimal wait. My schedule is pretty flexible at the moment. I'm looking to hit with anyone NTRP 4.5 or better, such as yourself. I had played club tennis at Stanford as an undergrad, and was president of my tennis club at business school. I'm OK with singles or doubles, and am pretty laid back so just looking to have a fun time on the courts. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks!
