Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I am 49 and I live on Capitol Hill....have since 1979 in various places. I don't play Tennis, mostly because I haven't had anyone to play with. So I recently purchased a new(used) racket and am dying to try it out. The few times I have played with someone, they were impressed with my level for a beginner. I am very good at Ping Pong so my hand-eye thing is fine. Anyway, summer is here and I know where some good courts are on Capitol Hill! It beats going to Red Square at the 'U' and playing against a brick wall! So, if you are a co-ordinated beginner like me, drop me a line.

ummmmmmmm....Can I get back to you on that?
On the court, I am a:
beginner, gracious loser
My favorite local courts:
The secluded, and shady courts at Volunteer Park. It's a beautiful setting surrounded with huge old trees! You can park right next to the courts too. No loooong walks from a parking lot! And the courts and the parking are both free! (Yay). The second choice is down at the Montlake Community Center. Another sort-of secluded neighborhood setting amidst a park, large trees and a new rec center for the use of restrooms. Again, you can park right next to the courts for free.
