Profile Information

I am a:
Tennis Fan, Casual Player, Tournament or League Player
Neighborhood or other helpful location info:
Forest Park, IL
Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I'm still that 9-year-old boy who was blessed with the desire to become a "newscaster."
I'm still Kevin Roy, Emmy Award Winning TV Anchor/ Reporter & Host.
And I've still got "it" and then some to be rated #1 as I've been everywhere I've worked.
That's remarkable considering how, as News Director Mike Rausch put it, I was:
"Thrown under a bus!" by my former boss in Chicago.
Since then, I've developed an aversion to cold and to work.
I'm just kidding about the latter, but my so-called father, "Robert Bobby Albert Roy" isn't and hasn't done or said one nice, fatherly, unconditional love kind of thing to/for/near/around me since I can't remember when. Oh, I'm sorry. How could I forget those bi-annual boxes of Omaha Steaks?
As for my childhood dream that's been put "on hold" for me and I have no say in the matter? [Thanks again to that worst father of all time winner, Rob Roy.]
I still wonder what it feels like to be a major network news star. But why limit it to that?
I'm talented in many ways and have the experience, confidence and self-love to pull off just about anything.
Why does everyone lie to me and spend countless hours reading everything I write as it pops up on our computer screens? If you all care so much as you claim you do, then fix my goddamned windows -- those gaping holes that are a security breech and I will NOT pay to have repaired since you've stressed me out and I snapped because of YOU. Do everything I've already gone into great detail about and you know what that entails.
I couldn't care less at this point about ending stigma of any kind or helping anyone else until all of you assholes stop this bullshit and start doing right by me.
During my time away from broadcasting, I started a business, worked for a TV station in San Diego, and founded a
non-profit organization aimed at ending all kinds of stigma.
I'm proud of my successes and failures, especially since I didn't cause the setbacks that I have been forced to pay so dearly for (sic.)
I have much more to give. And I have the confidence that comes from breathing in that sweet air for so long at the "top" [paging Paul Stagg!] of my field.
My greatest honor was being named a Fellow to The Carter Center Mental Health Journalism Program, founded by First Lady Rosalyn Carter. She was also our teacher.
While we listened to the original pioneer speak about how difficult yet important it is that we strive to change attitudes on people with mental illnesses, Mrs. Carter showed me how real power and influence can be won through kindness, compassion and unconditional love.
We also met her favorite peanut farmer from Plains, Georgia. Watching the two of them together was proof that two people can find real love and keep it growing for a lifetime.
proved to me that it is possible to find and grow a genuine love between two very special people. "Survivng Suicide," the special project produced for my Fellowship, won an Emmy. But what could be more gratifying than the the letter of congratulations I received that came from someone who is both my hero and friend. I still believe my most important work lies ahead. What I need now is that opportunity.
A place to grow, to shine, to be the best of everything that is me and to discover how much more of me there is to give to others.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
Roger Federer, Chris Everet Lloyd, Lindsay Davenport, Serena and Venus Wiliams, Bjorn Borg, Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Rod Laver, Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King, Brian Marcus, Luke Jensen, Murphy Jensen, too many to name them all!
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
NTRP 4.0
On the court, I am a:

Relationship status:
