Kate,
Are you rated 4.0 in the USTA? Or if you're unrated can you rate 4.0? A 4.0 woman would be described as just high intermediate to advacned. If so our USTA team is recruiting two women 4.0s. Here's our detail text:
We need two USTA rated 4.0 women for our 9.0 Mixed Doubles team. We have an exceptional team and should be one of the best in Portland. We already have two great 5.0 rated men on the team. We host out of Eastmoreland Raquet Club and all matches are played on indoor courts. The season starts October 4th and goes until January 31st. You do not need a club membership to participate. 503-229-7777 or email decocomm@comcast.net
Excellent! My Tue and Thur are open even on Saturday, if you could bring two more people, then we are all set to go! Please let me know the time and place, if you are unable to bring anyone, we can play single. Exciting!
Sounds like we could be a good match. I am looking for a tennis pal who can play regulary. I live in Beaverton area near Cooper Mountain, if I can find more people, I prefer doubles.
Hi! It's great to have you here! This is our *new* generic welcome message that fortunately,is required due to the enormous growth. We're growing by 100 new members a day, and I just couldn't keep up. But that's a good thing. ;-)
Invite your friends too. We’re trying to reach 20,000 members by Wimbledon. :-)
If you need any help, let me know.

You just joined a super fun and infectious "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you. You have the power here.
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
The Forum is really the hub of the online community. Other places to explore: post youtube videos, add your own photos, write your own blog.… and just hang out and meet great people.
Yes, there are courts at Washingon Park above the International Rose Gardens just west of you in the West Hills. Across the river close in there are about five small park court locations and the Portland Tennis Center. Grant Park nearby has about six good courts. Contact me when you return so I know you are back. Have a great time!
I am getting back in the game too after taking winter off. I live in SE Portland, Hawthorne area. I use to play club tournaments but now I just enjoy the sport. I like singles or doubles besides practice and play a set. Put me on your list if you interested. My number is (503) 236-3393. I am married too.

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, search through the Groups, look at our Local Groups Map or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.
Here’s a primer on how to meet other players.
