Hey jen! how did you do in the summer camp? i hope all went well. I wonder if astoria has any indoor courts for the winter, do you know of any? For some reason our group members dont seem to click with each other. At first it was tough finding partners to practice with but after the 2nd week I met a few people I frequently play with now. How was your search?. keep me posted.
hey Jen, how is the weekend camp working out? Im on my 5th lesson and its going pretty well. not sure if im ready to compete in the us,open but im close, lmao. if your free for some practice let me know, cya around.
hi! the first lesson was great. he charged me $50 for the hour, afterwards he offerd me a package deal for 30 lessons 3 times a week for 1k which is pretty cheap compared to the club on vernon blvd. we went right to the basics, he seems pretty smart, although 30 lessons may be to many but its a great deal. his cell # is 646-552-9692,p.s he told me that he gave me a discount on the package and to not share my rate with others, so if u do speak with him u didnt hear it from me,lol. If your up for practice games give me a heads up, unless your a pro, haha. cya around.
hey jen! I am a new rookie at Astoria park aswell. Today was my first class with wilson "the so called-tennis pro". Did u take any classes yet at the park? Also how does someone get rated? If 5.0 is good then I'm a -2.0,lol.
Hi! It's great to have you here! This is our *new* generic welcome message that, fortunately, is required due to the enormous growth. We're growing by 100 new members a day, and we just couldn't keep up. But that's a good thing. ;-)

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Look through the Groups or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.
Here’s a primer on how to meet other players.
The Forum is really the hub of the online community. Other places to explore: post youtube videos, add your own photos, write your own blog.
…and just hang out and meet great people.
Welcome aboard,
