Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I was a former competitive player back in high school. I stopped playing at the age of 17. I recently gained interested in tennis again about a week or two ago when friends said it would be a way for us to stay in shape. I found myself accelerate much faster at the game then my friends, likely due to my previous skill. I do not have anyone for competitive play/practice and would like to find some good players to meet up with in the coral gables area. I have tennis courts at my apartments and just bought a ball machine a few days ago. I would like to play competitvely once again. I was an NTRP 5.5 player in high school. I am unsure of my current level now, as the players I hit with can not play at my current level (i.e. cant keep a rally when I hit harder, etc). I would like to find anyone from a 4.5-5.5 level to hit with (to gauge myself) for right now. After that I will be able to find more precicely matched hitting partners. So if you're a relaxed person and looking to hit balls please contact me. If you're a college player preparing for a tournament then I may or may not be the practice you are looking for. I don't mind hitting if you're a 3.5 player who thinks they are a 5.0 either- I'm not the type to get picky about that stuff, so if you're unsure of your skill level feel free to contact me and we can discuss.

Hi IKE. I noticed that you posted your email address on the Austin Group page. Are you familiar with email harvesting. Check it out on Wikipedia. Basically you don't want to post email addresses on any public website including this one. Same thing with phone numbers. The best way to communicate with other members here is to leave a note on their page or add them as a friend. Once someone has added you as a friend, you two can private message all day long.
Sorry I missed you... maybe we can play a bit another day this week. As mentioned, after 2-3 weeks of practice, I'm probably a solid 4.0+, but currently (haven't really played in 7 years), I'm probably about a 3.5.
I did meet up with a guy today that claimed he played at the 3.5 level and I destroyed him 6-1.
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
