My name is Ian Samuels and I come from a tennis family. Both my parents are Professional Tennis Coaches and have been so for more than 35 years. I started playing tennis from age 4 and did very well as a junior. I played on the Sugar Circuit in South Africa and got into the top 10 for most of my junior years. I started to help out at my parents’ tennis academy from the age of 16 whilst also attending school and at age 19 qualified as a National Tennis Instructor.

I have been coaching full time in South Africa for 10 years and decided to go abroad where I have been coaching for 5 and a half years at Woking Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club in the United Kingdom. I have a licensed LTA CCA award. I also played a multitude of tournaments in and around the UK and got my national ranking inside the top 30. I won several British Tour Events as well as others. More details in my C.V. I have dual citizenship. British and South African.

I have more than 15 years of full time coaching experience. In this time I have been working with all levels of players from beginners to advanced. I have a very good playing standard achieving the best rating being a 1.1 in the United Kingdom. I feel I can bring a lot of experience to your club or programme.
