Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
If you like hitting –practicing strokes for an hour or so esp. on a regular basis, then let’s hit!
I am a 3.0 - 3.5 but like to hit with any level of player; working on improving our shots.
I live near the following courts:
Alta Plaza (Pac Heights), Lafayette Park (Pac Heights),Alice Meade (Russian Hill), and Moscone Rec (Marina). That’s a bunch all pretty close to each other –in case there is a crowd.
My time is fairly flexible and I am available on weekdays as well. Hopefully we can find times to work our strokes !
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):

George,
You're not into software development (which is probably like asking someone in L.A. if they are into screenwriting) are you . . . I live in the Richmond, but your selection of courts is close enough and you sound like we might have the same goals . . . it's been my experience that everyone over-rates or has no idea how to rate ( which isn't to say you're not a solid 3.5er) so I just like to say that I grew up playing, here in california––I played junior davis cup and in juniors . . . I know how to hit the ball, just have not been hitting it too often, but looking to get back to match and tournament play and meanwhile, just looking to find the groove. Thanks, BOB
Hi George! It's great to have you here! There's a SF Group here, join it and introduce yourself to meet people in your area.
This is my *new* generic welcome message that, fortunately, is required due to the enormous growth. We're growing by 100 new members a day, and I just couldn't keep up. But that's a good thing. ;-)
Invite your friends too. We’re trying to reach 20,000 members by Wimbledon. :-)
If you need any help, let me know.

To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Look through the Groups or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.
Here’s a primer on how to meet other players.
The Forum is really the hub of the online community. Other places to explore: post youtube videos, add your own photos, write your own blog.
…and just hang out and meet great people.
Welcome aboard,
Mark
