At 8:16am on August 2, 2011, Kevin said…: Garland if you want some tennis go to kctennisplayers.com. Its a forum board with over 100 members. Its free for anyone to join. These guys get together every Sunday & play at minor park tennis courts. Most are showing up around 6 - 7 right now b/c of the heat & humidity. You can play singles or doubles & there are lots of different levels of guys that play from 3.0 - 4.5. They are also hosting a tourney there starting Oct 7. I believe its $14 for singles & $16 per team for doubles. To get there from where you live take I-435 east to the Holmes Rd. exit. Go south on Holmes to your first major intersection which is Red Bridge Rd. Go left there (east) and follow it to the next light (about a mile). Go right there (South). That road is Blue River Rd. Follow it about 1/2 mile or so and its the first turn to your right. You will see a wooden sign that says minor park tennis courts. There are 12 courts there. Last year they were all resurfaced with new nets, lights & restrooms. Come out & join us if you like......Kevin

Sorry about getting back to you so late. Anyway, I have been playing with Scott, who is also on here, saturday mornings. That's about my only free day/time really. Kind of hard for me to get away during the week as we have a 1 year old daughter who keeps us pretty busy.

Anyway, if you're interested, Scott and some others I think are trying to arrange a "group" that would meet regularly. I'll keep you posted if that pans out.

Also, I JUST broke my string today, so I am probably actually out for a couple weeks...unless I can get it restrung fairly quickly. But keep in touch, please. If I can get away during an evening, I'll let you know.
