Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
Mostly weekend player - some evenings. Looking for someone who is serious, but not type A. I play pretty well, never had a lesson but played 3-5x week in college. and early 20's. Just started playing again after 8-10 without playing at all.

Been back about 2 months (at end of June), playing weekly since then. Just bought a brand new racquet.

I'm going to try to find a pro to help me understand my rating. Based on what I know, I'm probably around a 4.0.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
Pretty damn good., Not bad., Don't know my what my rating is.

Did you get my other posting? Are you still interested in developing this group? Doesn't sound like I'm your level of play but I'd be interested in building the members. Let me know. By the way, are you still interested in finding a pro? If so, I know one who has a very different style. He's taken me a long way in a very short time.

Hi! Welcome to the "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you.

What can you do here?
At Tennisopolis, you can:
- meet other players. Here's a primer on how to find partners.
- join a Group. Members have started over 190 Local Groups (and other types of Groups too.) Search for one in your area, or start your own.
- follow the pros. There are over 500 blog posts on Tennisopolis. Have a good read, or write your own.
- improve your game. Get tips in the Forum and check out video lessons.
- post your own Videos or embed your favorites from youtube.
- add your own Photos.
- and just hang out and connect with great people.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

Thanks to everyone inviting their friends, we now have over 7800 members and we're growing by 100 new members a day. Invite yours too!

If you need any help, let me know.

What's up Eric.

I'm a 4,0-4,5 player in my mid-20's. I'm moving to SF in August. Looking to use tennis to meet people in town.

What are your thoughts are on finding partners, courts, etc. Is craig'slist the best way? what about joinging a club?
Hopefully we can hit sometime this fall.
