Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I'm a casual fan who always wanted to take up the sport but, never took the time. I guess you would consider me a senior fan. Would certainly enjoy taking up the sport if anyone would be willing to teach it. In my youth enjoyed the game of baseball and presently do enjoy all kinds of sporting events both live and on TV. Looking forward to staying fit at my advanced age so, am now looking into tennis as a possibility. I have some equipment which was recently passed down to me by a friend which looks to be in pretty good shape(then again...what do I know about good equipment?..lol), hopefully I'll be able to find someone to assist in my introduction to this great sport.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi, Jimmy Conners, Arthur Ashe, Pete Sampras,

Hey Dan, just come to Pelham Bay Park tennis courts (last stop on the 6 train) and I will give you alot of practical tennis advice. If you are a beginner then I will just show you the basic grip and ground stroke then tell you to hit for 1 hour a day against a wall before finding a similar level playing partner.
