Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I am a 27 year old guy who's never had any formal tennis instruction. I try to get by on decent physical ability and my love of playing the game. I didn't even know what a ranking was or how it worked until last summer when I smoked a couple of guys who said that they were 4.0s. I then got an injection of reality (and humility) when I got WHOOPED by a guy who said he was a 4.5 (and he should know...I found out later that he was an instructor). He told me that I was a rough 3.5 (but have all the tools to be much better (with practice)). Basically, I would rather play guys above or around my skill level and play 5 sets. I just love playing the game and dying to get better.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
When I began playing recreationally when I was younger I was always Sampras and my friend Jake was Agassi...our two favorites. Now I think my favorite player to watch is Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. That guy has crazy tricks up his sleeves and just a blast to watch.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
I'm getting there., Don't know my what my rating is., If tennis is on TV - I'm watching.

Welcome to the fun and infectious "community-based" tennis website which connects players, fans, coaches and pros.
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Join the group in your area and introduce yourself in there. Some groups have regular meeting times and some are more one-on-one and flexible. If there’s no group in your area yet, start a group page for your town and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.
Tennisopolis is also a great place to network with people all across the country and talk about this game we love.
Other places to explore: come talk tennis in the forum, add your own photos, post your own blog entries.
