Profile Information

I am a:
Tennis Fan, Teaching Pro/ Coach
Neighborhood or other helpful location info:
Austin, TX
Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I am a teaching pro with more than 20 years of teaching experience and more than 35 years of tournament play all over the globe. I first pickup a tennis racquet in 1955 when tennis was a "gentlemen" game and the on court attire was all white. I am fortunate in that I have seen some of the greatest players play the game. Tennis is not my passion, it's my life. As a teaching pro, I specialize in beginners and intermmediate players although I have worked with some advanced players including NCAA and rookie pros. I devote all of my on court time now to teaching due to health limitations. If you live in the Austin, Texas area and would like some tennis lessons please let me know. I do group and individual private lessons at a very reasonable rate.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
Too many to choose from but I really admired Rod Laver and Ken Rosewall.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
Pretty damn good., If tennis is on TV - I'm watching.
Relationship status:
Married

First, go to a sporting goods store that has a good selection of racquets. Most retailers will carry the three top brands: Wilson, Head and Prince. They may also carry one or more of the other brands… Continue
