I am a:
Tennis Fan, Casual Player
Neighborhood or other helpful location info:
NE Portland, OR
Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I played Varsity level tennis in high school but stopped playing in college and for many years after. I am still athletic but have definitely lost a lot of the skill I had in my younger days. I would love to get back into playing tennis for fun. Most of the basics come back to me quickly but I need practice!
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
I'm getting there.
On the court, I am a:
all courter, gracious loser
My favorite local courts:
I live in NE, so I prefer Grant Park, Irving Park, Laurelhurst, Mt. Tabor, Colonel Summers, or anywhere within biking distance (though I have a car and am willing to head out of the way a bit.)

Hi Carrie,

I live close in SE in the Hawthorne area. If you would like to practice or play a set or maybe sometime mixed doubles let me know. The Portland Tennis Center is a great place to play or take lessons all year round for a good price. They also have double mixers. By the way this weekend is the Nike Oregon Tennis Championship at Tualatin Hill Recreation Center. The finals are this Sunday morning. Top level college players and teaching pros enter from Canada and the northwest. You can watch for free in close in seats in a new outside tennis arena.

Hi! Welcome to the "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you.

What can you do here?
At Tennisopolis, you can:
- meet other players. Here's a primer on how to find partners.
- join a Group. Members have started over 190 Local Groups (and other types of Groups too.) Search for one in your area, or start your own.
- follow the pros. There are over 500 blog posts on Tennisopolis. Have a good read, or write your own.
- improve your game. Get tips in the Forum and check out video lessons.
- post your own Videos or embed your favorites from youtube.
- add your own Photos.
- and just hang out and connect with great people.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

Thanks to everyone inviting their friends, we now have over 7800 members and we're growing by 100 new members a day. Invite yours too!

If you need any help, let me know.
M
