Albuquerque, NMexico...Most days I'll play at Montgomery Park (Comanche, east of San Mateo) & evenings at the park north on Guadalupe Trail (off Griego, just west of 12th St.)
Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I was rated 3.5 several years ago & I'm probably playing in that area today. I've no hesitance playing in colder or hotter temps. I prefer singles, however, I wouldn't mind playing doubles with people who are consistent & show up to play. Recently I joined the Abq tennis Meetup group that had 22 "members", I wrote to 17 and received replies from only 3, who wrote just to write....never met any of them. These "players" acted like I wrote asking them to shoe my horse or clean my house. Why post looking to play & then be rude and not answer the reasonable question... would you like to play. I'm 62 and used to playing men and women often much younger than myself. I'm not an agressive club player, but I don't spend time "just hitting", nor am I a rabid competitor. I'm okay playing with beginners, especially pretty 40 somethings.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
None, I pay little attention to the pros..
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
I'm getting there.

Angelo, I noticed that the Albuquerque Tennis Meetup is dead. If you still have those emails, tell them about the free meet up group here. Or you can send me the emails and I'll invite them.
It's great to have another Duke City resident here! Join the localABQ Baseliners Group to meet people here. I would be happy to play with you sometime. I'm between 4.0 / 4.5 and my tennis schedule always seems full. I'm going to invite all my tennis buddies adn there's quite a few that are 3.5s. Send me a note if you want to play.
Welcome to Tennisopolis! We are all very excited to have created this "community-based" tennis website which puts the focus on the members. We launched Tennisopolis just a week ago, so you are a charter member. :-)
