does the clamp wheel ratchets?

It's good overall. The only concern I've had is that the clamp and the wheel that grips the string on the drop arm are made mostly of plastic then with diamond coated metal plates attached to them. I think the Alpha drop-weight machine uses metal in both places, which probably makes them sturdier. Even though i've never had a problem with it, but I think metal would be nicer.
