Have you ever dreamed of playing professional tennis? We'd all love to be Roger Federer or Maria Sharapova for a day, but there's thousands of unknown players around the world fighting day after day to make their dream a reality.
We recently met a young professional
tennis player from Buenos Aires named Ezequiel
Krivulin. Ezequiel (Eze) is a 21 year old lefty who is
in the minor leagues of the sport. He travels around South America
mostly, battling in the challenger tournaments, earning points (and
small purses) to work his way up the ladder. It's not the
glamourous life of Fed or Masha, but its definitely fascinating and
expensive.
Eze,
and his father Jorge (also a
Tennisopolis member), really struggle making it from tourney to
tourney, paying for flights, meals and motel rooms - not to mention
coaching and entry fees.
Eze is coached by Coach Gabriel Markus (former coach of David Nalbandian, Nicolas Massu, Guillermo Coria, Juan Chela, Marat Safin and other important players) and Coach Javier Fernandez.
His Goals are to reach the top 200 of the ATP rankings within the next 2 years, and the top 100 in the next 3 years.
Go say "hi" to Ezequiel on his profile page and wish him luck on the tour!
