4.5-5.0 Doubles Hot Court

HOT COURT DOUBLES!!!

San Pablo Park, Berkeley California, Mabel Street tennis courts.  

We've been doing this since the 80's.  As far as I know this is the longest running series of doubles hot court tennis in California!

The cool thing is we do this almost everyday, either by email or just showing up, and the best part is you don't even need to bring a partner.  You simply call "Winners" and when it's your turn to do battle, the next two players waiting go on.  This is very rare to be able to come hit or play by yourself and have a core group of players on your level to work out with!

For those that don't know what "Hot Court" is; it means the reward for the team winning the set is that you don't have to take the long walk of shame to the bench to gather splinters!  The losers sit down and the winners stay on to do battle with the next team up.  There's no trophies or prize money but when there's say three teams waiting to play the winning team, the intensity picks up and playing in front of our small group truly creates a sense of a tournament or league match competitiveness.

Get your juices flowing and improve your dubs chops and come get in the rotation.  

We also have the largest core of USTA league teams playing out of our park in all levels if competition is your thing.

If you are say a 4.0 player, please be able to play up to level of competition as we all need to get something out of this including the better players.  This means if you don't think you can play on the level of tennis you see, just hit for a few months and get yourself ready to do battle before you step in.  This is a general tennis courtesy we all have to abide by for the betterment of the masses.  When you are ready, you'll know!
