Tennisopolis : Tennis Social Network

Hello everyone,

I am going to be relocating to the Washington DC area from Pittsburgh.  I'm wondering... is there ANYTHING like a 'tennis ladder' for Washington DC area like the one in Pittsburgh?  Here's the link to Pittsburgh's Tennis Ladder:

Info about the Ladder:
http://mysite.verizon.net/john.valentich/ladder/tennis11.htm

The actual Ladder hosted @ tennis engine:
http://tennisengine.com/league/index.asp?lgid=5974

Or do most people just have a 'set group' that they play with and / or use Tennisopolis to meet new tennis partners?

Also, any of you know if there are there any 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 USTA Adult Men's League Tennis teams with any opening slots?  I'm looking to possibily formulate a 3.0 eligible team and play/train together regularly with a common goal of both improving our overall game and getting to the nationals USTA team tennis tournament.  All we need is 5 - 7 (max) players that are eligible to play on a 3.0 team, so there might be cuts pending the number of people interested.  I believe we have at least 2 - 3 people for the team, looking for a pair of individuals that know each other well enough as doubles partners.  If anyones semi interested, please let me know!

Alan,

The one i play on is tennisdc.com which has a pretty good member base. I've played in the 3, 3.5, and 4.0 leagues through various seasons and all have been pretty active.

There are some usta men's leagues as well, but I've never done research into them. I just know a couple of people who are members and have talked about them. They were 4.0, though.

Welcome to the area.
