Hello everyone
I have been running a small recreational tennis league for the past few years. IWe are looking for new players that would be interested in playing regularly once a week this summer. Our flexible scheduling allows you to schedule matches around your work, family , other hobbies etc.
We have one match each week and players can pick any day or time to play that match. They have 7 days to get it done, matches need to be reported by each Monday night. Scores and standings are posted on our web site www.minneapolistennisleague.com
Players need to show flexibility scheduling matches and also good and timely e mail/phone communication to be able to consistently finish matches on time. Matches can't be postponed but they can be played ahead of time.
We utilize local public courts with free access and players usually meet half way between their locations.
The league is created for recreational players of all skill levels who are interested in playing tennis regularly once a week. As opposed to those ladder leagues you don't have to challenge anyone or deal with multiple responses for one week. Our schedule is set 7 weeks in advance so you know who you play each round.
Depending on numbers we get, players are grouped by skill level. Our goal is get you to play opponents close to your level.
This league is not for those interested in playing occasionally , it requires a commitment to consistently play once a week and keep up with the schedule.
It's a great way to meet local players , play regularly, improve your game and just have fun playing this great sport at very low cost. As I noted we use public courts so our players don't pay court fees. We only charge a sign up fee which is $10 for one 7 week long session. We generally run 3 session from May to October. For more info or to register for session (starting May 6th if we ever get rid of the snow) please visit our site www.minneapolistennisleague.com or email me back with questions.
