9/16 - Friday Night Shoot Out
Ok, this was something I mentioned to some of the members in the group who I don't get the chance to play together at the drop-ins. I figured it to be like a Friday Nite Poker with the boys and girls, for friendship, trash talking and fun. It's not complicated, $5 get's you in the main draw and a can of balls. Minimum of 4 players meet to play singles or doubles, switching opponents and/or partners after each 30 min set, 90 minutes total. The player with the best record over 3, 30 minute sets gets the pot of $20 bucks. He or she has the option to buy dinner for their group at Subway, or go for Ascona pizza, cold beers and bragging rights. You also have the option to take the money and run. To kick this off, Ryan, Roland, Will and myself, TVTA coaches will try this format. I'm up for starting second group if first four players are available this Friday 630 at DVHS.

Hi Rebecca, this is the first time trying this but I can tell you are ready to play some tennis. If I don't get enough for a second group, would you like to take my place. I am still planning to attend to monitor how the format goes. Let me send out a direct email to the group and see if I can recruit others.
