Looking for Burbank (or nearby) 4.0 for casual hitting/getting in shape

I'm a rusty 4.0 (haven't played in several months, but have played for many years before that) looking to just hit around and get in better shape. Possible eventual match play, but I'd be happy with just rallying. Willing to play with a sharp 3.5 or be stretched by a 4.5 too. I strongly prefer singles just because I want the exercise, and I get a lot less exercise when playing doubles. But if you've got 3 people and need a 4th for doubles, feel free to let me know that too.

If you're not familiar with the ratings system, please use this guide http://tennisopolis.com/news/ntrp-ratings-guide and give yourself an honest assessment. There's nothing worse for either player than being badly matched.

If you're interested, please leave a note with your location, your preferred courts, if you have access to a private court (and if it is lit, let me know since that opens up evenings). Also let me know preferred times to play.

Thanks!
David

Greetings!

I'm a solid 4.0, a little out of shape, but sounds like we'd line up pretty well.
I'm in Lincoln Heights but can hop over the hill to Burbank easily, I just don't know the courts there.
Around here, I like to play at Griffith Park or Arroyo Seco.

I can play pretty much any time.

Best,

Andy
Hi,

Solid 4.0 here, 4.5 on a good day, looking for rally, drills, points, breakers, sets etc. I live in Sunland, play in Burbank, Glendale, Sylmar, No. Hollywood, Griffith and Vermont. Some weekday am or eves. Let me know!

Thanx,

Brian Ferrilstone
I live in Burbank. I'm available in the mornings Mon-Sat and then a couple of other afternoon-evenings depending on my schedule.. Let me know what your schedule is...

Kerry and Eric, what's your ranking? Roughly? See here if in doubt: http://tennisopolis.com/news/ntrp-ratings-guide

P.S. I played Andy (also in this thread) and he's excellent -- I would have estimated him to be a 4.5 actually.

I don't know my ranking anymore.  I was a teaching pro for about 15 years..  I can hit with anyone.  I worked at Breamar Tennis for a few years ago for about 4 years.  I played with the top players at the club..  I'm rusty and just looking to hit around for now.  My life is very busy and I'm looking to hit with someone..
If you click that link, you can figure out a decent idea of your ranking. Totally appreciate your experience, but knowing the ranking helps.
ok.  I'm a rusty 5.0+ if you must know my ranking
Anyone up for a hit on Thursday morning? Let me know. Burbank or nearby preferred.
I actually don't know all the available courts around here, and it depends where you are (I'm near the Burbank airport). My first suggestions would be the Brace Canyon Park (if you're in Burbank), or the Magnolia/Tujunga courts in North Hollywood if you're to the west. (Caveat: they may close them on Thursday mornings for a few minutes to clean them.) If you know of others, I'm game.

No sweat. My days change at a moment's notice, so I prefer to confirm day-of or day-before. Send a message here when you're available.
