A LOT HAS CHANGED Since I posted "Male. 67. back arthritis. fat and out of shape."
I have found a patient person to hit with and have played quite a lot in the past 2 1/2 months. I am now hitting pretty well from the base line and both sides of the court. I am covering the court well enough to compete against most 3.0 players. Two days ago, I hit with Jan for two hours straight. We have had many rallies approaching 20 hits. I am ready to play club or team tennis. I also turned 68. Anyone want to play - dbls, singles, or just hit?
I am hoping to play in the Washington Open next year.

I'm a male, 69, in reasonably good shape but not much of a tennis player (maybe 2.5-3.0) and would like to hit some balls with you. I live in NE Tacoma but Auburn or Federal Way or Fife would be fine. I took up tennis a couple of years ago in Arizona and play a lot of mixed doubles down there in the winter. This summer I have been taking lessons, which pretty much meant starting over, but at least my forehands and backhands have some topspin now.
