portland tennis players seasonal or year round??

why is it everybody comes out of their hiding places only when the weather is nice? i can understand if you play on the weekends at an indoor facility or what not. but i noticed this site has been more active only during the nice weather. which means the seasonal players come out of their hiding places and hit the courts. i come from an area where tennis is really popular. even when it rains, the players will make an effort to continue where we left off during the summer.

i hope everyone here will find a way to continue to play even after the summer is over. i know i do.
