Anyone interested in starting a regular tennis group to play weekdays evenings 3.0 to 4.5.

Hi! I just joined the site and live in pasadena.  I'm a former d3 player that's out of practice.  probably about a 4.0 right now, 4.5+ at my best (and can certainly hit the ball at a 4.5 - 5.0 level without the usual consistency).  Any takers?  What's the deal with the regular meetup?  I can't read the whole 20 page thread!

I can't figure out the whole 20 page thread other than it doesn't do in order.

 

We try to get together Thurs. about 3:30 as we are lucky enough to have jobs that allow that. We have squeezed in a few Tues. afternoons but not lately.

John W. is good about dragging me out for singles now and again. We play some weekends and just hit yesterday. I'm open to playing more, but though my job allows me to sneak out at will, it keeps me too busy to ever initiate the extra play. I also hit some nights and weekends with my neighbor who is getting his game back, but currently holding down a day job.

 

I'd love to get a regular night or weekend game going, but some of the guys have families and prefer the weekday play, so for now our regular play is usually Thurs afternoon. If you come to So. Pas. you can probably get me to hit anytime 24/7 with little or no notice. Otherwise, with a little notice, I'm almost always game if I don't have to go to far.

I'm trying to get back in the swing of things and hit regularly in the afternoons/evenings.  I'm just up at caltech (literally the building across from the tennis courts) so So. Pas isn't far at all for me.  How regularly would you be willing to play?  Perhaps a better way to put it is, let's hit and see where it goes from there lol.  When are you next free?  Friday is my day off incidentally...interested?

Cal tech courts are nice. we've hit there before. Sorry to say for a guy who says he's open 24/7, and I am 99% of the time, there is a conference coming to town this weekend, starting Fri afternoon and thru Sunday and I'm sort of one of the organizers, so I can't really skip any of it, so I'm out Fri-Sun this weekend but wide open again after. Have not heard anything on Thurs. group yet.

I found someone to hit with here today so I should be good for tonight, but if anyone else would like to hit over the weekend, do message me!
