I'm relatively new to the Chicago area...I live in the city (Bucktown) but take the Metra to work in Arlington Heights. My office is literally next to the horsetrack and the Arlington Park stop.

I know there's tons of snow on the ground, but I just wanted to find out how easy it is to meet up and hit with someone after work in the warmer months. I'm an avid player who played D3 singles back home in Cleveland.

Are there courts by the tracks (or within walking distance)?

Looking forward to meeting some of you.

Welcome to Chicago and the blizzard of 2011,

The only courts that come to mind is Olympic Park, which is about a mile southeast along route 14 or Northwest highway.

Hopefully spring's around the corner.

Take care.

Actually, Lion's Park in Mt. Prospect isn't too far from the Metra, certainly within walking distance.  Also, Recreation Park near downtown AH is near the downtown stop.  Both courts are well-kept, and RP is also lighted.
