Hello to New Orleans tennis!

I thought I'd be the first to post on the NOLA tennis website and say hello.

I've been back into tennis for about 2 years after a 13 year lay off.  One thing I've noticed about tennis in New Orleans is there appears to be MANY people that play tennis.  They all seem to play mainly doubles and have their own little cliques, unwilling or wanting to hit with anyone outside of their group. 

I've had heck finding regular hitting partners the past 2 years.  I recently lost one partner due to him moving, and I had to let another fella go because our tennis philosophy had begun to differ.  I want to improve, play competitive matches, and he wanted to linger at 3.0 and use gamesmanship in matches.

I join a private club, and it's the same deal.  Mainly doubles, and everyone has their own little groups that play only each other.

Am I crazy or does anyone else notice this?
