Hello. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of good places to get your racquet strung by experienced tennis professionals, preferably on the west island. I guess I can always go to Sports Experts, but I wonder how good the stringing service is there. Anyone use Sports Experts for stringing? Thanks a lot for any input.

I'm not familiar with any West Island Sports Experts... I have been to Sports Experts @ Centre Ville for badminton only and Brossard for both tennis and badminton though... The Centre-Ville location snapped strings on two occasions when stringing my badminton rackets in the past, that was quite something. I highly doubt that happens often & tennis strings are an entirely different case. No problems with the Brossard one, but that's pretty far for you.

Also notable: Sports Experts tends to overcharge on strings bigtime. In example, Luxilon Alu Power, they charge around $45 or $50 for the whole stringing job (before tax!). My tactic is always to order the string online, then pay for only the labor in-store. Stringing labor there is $12.50 currently. I ordered Alu Power 127 online for 22$ (incl. shipping). So in total I saved a at least 10 or 15 dollars, a small victory on my part.

If you want decent prices and a shop that's definately good when it comes to stringing, consider Lucien Laverdure. They've been around for many years and are very specialized in the racket field.

I hope that was helpful.
Thanks a lot for the advice! It was definitely very informative.
