Comment by William Wong on June 25, 2012 at 3:49pm: Glenn, they're not quite 3.5s...but they were definitely between the 3.0-3.5 level, just like me and you. We are currently down 20-19 with our group, just gonna try to win somehow in mixed doubles with what we have, which is gonna be a very tall order. I do believe that the people in WTT are mosrtly nice...it's just there's honest miscommunication in scores. But in WTT, every point counts...and miscalls do throw off the momentum of the game. Oh well..it's just a game, right?:) (Thinking of getting some of those scorecards somehow to keep score from now on - the ones you put over the net somehow?)

Comment by Glenn Magda on June 25, 2012 at 8:04am: Hi William, I haven't had any problems really with confusion during play but, once in a while, we'll have a problem with miscalls. Had a problem with one whole team last summer and one guy over the winter. Some people just want to win at any expense. But 99% of the people in WTT are genuinely nice and honest people.

We got slaughtered by the group you're playing. Their guys are 3.5's, no doubt and they just manhandled our men. Yesterday, we're fairing better. Only down by 3 games part way into the mixed doubles before the rains came.

We'll talk more about the miscalls. There's not much we can do but there are steps we can take to put them "on notice".
