just checked this! there are some decent courts in silver spring ..... i'll reach out after the holidays if it's still nice out! thanks!
Thanks Bibi - I'll keep your number handy if the weather stays mild this winter. Thanks for reaching out!
Where were you thinking of playing?
Im flexible. Now I just play at outdoor courts at a park in Silver Spring. Where do you play?
I usually play over at the Olney Sports Center off Georgia Avenue, north of LeisureWorld. A question for you - and the other people who replied - were you all thinking on playing at Wheaton, or even at Silver Spring? Wheaton's one has both indoor and outdoor courts...and I'm not too familar with the tennis scene in Silver Spring. I don't mind hitting around with other people...just forgive me if I'm lousy since I am still recovering from arm/hand injuries.
If the weather is free this coming Sunday, there is a group social tennis gathering off New Hampshire Avenue, a bit behind the Martin Luther King Jr. High School. Level is about 3.0 ish for both men and women. Don't know if you would be interested in that? Definitely outdoors though so weather permitting.
There is also tennis socials over at some tennis complexes in Germantown and Fairland Tennis Courts (Off US1 and Old Gunpowder Road?) but those are a bit far from Silver Spring. Don't know how far you are willing to travel.
