just getting started
So I am thinking about giving tennis a try, I have never played before. Just wondering if there is any one else out there thinking about playing. I am in the Independence area and the best days for me to play are on Sunday and Monday's. If any one is interested in playing let me know.

Jay - One of the local clubs, Hilltop Racquet Club on 87th and 435 over by the old Bannister mall area, just started a beginner tennis package. It is $99 for either 3 or 4 months and you get two lessons per week plus free court time and use of the ball machine, they also set up match play after you have a few lessons (I think those are on Sundays). That is how I started and have been hooked ever since. I would highly recommend it as you will learn the proper way to hit and not develop bad habits that you will have to overcome later if you decide to get serious. You will also get to meet other new players. Just an idea. Have fun, it's addictive so watch out!
