is 12,000 dollars to much for a ball machine?

I was doing some research on tennis ball machines and ran across the 12000 dollar machine, its not as fancy as the Sam professional 25,000 machine but great none the less.  Sometimes it makes me think if a low end machine is really worth purchasing.  It might be better to rent a good workout machine as opposed to a discounted low skill level workout.... What do you think?
