After an 8-year hiatus from tennis (due to chronic back pain after lumbar surgery), it appears as if I can play again. I've been hitting against the wall and just hit with a pro for the big test and the back feels OK, so I'm ready to go!
Before my back fiasco, I was strong 3.5 players and played on a women's 3.5 team and 7.0-7.5 mixed doubles teams. I can hit with some power, but need a ton of practice to get my consistency up. Willing to hit with anyone 3.0 and up, and am probably best matched with a 3.0 player who can handle some topspin or a patient 3.5 player whose willing to give me a few months to get my game together. Mostly, I just want to have fun. It's amazing to me that I can play again.
The closest courts to me are in Montclair Village (I live 5 min away) and am willing to drive 20-30 min to other courts. I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule though am not an early morning person. I'm very reliable and punctual and expect the same. Let's hit!

Looking to hit with somebody - for fun, fitness, exercise, speed. Not looking
to play games - and I live in Oakland. Not far from Montclair.
Available mornings and weekends.
