east bay tennis club????
Sorry for a broadcast email to the entire group. I just got on this site and didn't navigate correctly.
I sent the message about finding a local public tennis club in berkeley, similar to the San Carlos Tennis Club. It is a club without facilities of its own. They run tournaments, leagues, social events, ladders, and team tennis.
I am looking for something similar in the berkeley/oakland area.
Any pointers would be appreciated.

Hi Steve,
Try joining the Montclair Tennis Association; I've been a member since 2002. The people are great, the events are fun and there are many interclubs and away-tournaments. A number of members also play USTA league, especially out of Davie (majority), Mills College, Berkeley Tennis Club and Chabot Canyon.
