One of the few things Tennis players get wrong about winning is that there is a trick to winning like better technique or Special Drills/drilling.

I have been using the Idea That 2 things are required for winning in tennis. 1. you need to think like a chess master on court and 2 you must also think & Act like a Mix martial artist - MMA/Free Form Fights/Street.

Imagine That 2 fighters go into a boxing ring. Who will win the Match Fighter "A" that is Trying to hurt the other or Fighter "B" that does their best?  If you were to know that inside information about each Fighter. Who would  you bet money on?  The fighter "A" that wants to win or fighter "B" that tries their best? if you answered "B" Try your best, you will get your arse kick and lose  all your money.

But also you have to think about tennis matches as a street fight. What are the rules for a street Fight?........there are none except for ( LAW ) not killing the other person and Finnish them to the point where they are no longer a threat.  Do what ever it takes to win within the rules. if you have to take a baseball bat to someones head to end it, by all means end it.

Great players use everything available to them to win a match including cheating.  Take Sharapova.. she won the 2005 US-Open final with cheating and was fined $20,000.  whats $20,000 out of 1 million dollars. ( I would cheat all the time if i can make that cash. )

So if you want to win, Be arrogant, and Beat the heck out of your opponent, but remember be professional, Honest, and make no excuses for losing except that they were a better fighter that day.

hmm let me think. I have found that in My playing career. I have lost more matches than I have won. Tennis players lose 90% of the time, so losing is a major part of the sport of tennis. But your Question is "A tip on how to win." Here it Goes.

Tennis Tip on How to Win by CoachV : There is no Tip on Winning only decisions. Only the Results will tell if your made good decisions, Bad decisions or if your opponent Made Good or Bad decisions.

I lost in the finals of the 2010 ALTA - AA Men's Singles Tournament in Sandy Springs in November. Like you I also believe that I was a better player, but I lost anyway. The Difference is I know why I lost, How to improve, the different areas of my match play to improve on, What I did right, I also saw the improvements I have already worked on & Finally I also saw my opponents flaws & strengths. Score in Tennis doesn't really matter much. Any Loss of 6-4, 7-5, 7-6 is an even match and only making good decisions at the correct moments will increase your chances on winning.
