What's your current or past "other sport" that helps your Tennis?

I was a Volleyball player for years (2 person sand, coed, men's USAV etc) until jumping has become a problem and i switched to tennis - found it easy to hit tennis serves, overheads and lateral movement at net.  Recently bought a road-bike and been putting miles on it which helps my tennis endurance.

Anybody else in here that do 1 or 2 other sports that compliments your game?  Any other sports i should try?

Being 6'9, you'd guess basketball! I've played since I was 3, and the many of the drills and dynamic stretching is very similar to tennis. Basketball, like tennis, is all about keeping your center of gravity low so that you're not wrong footed, quick steps, recognizing the moment your opponent is out of position. Your hand/eye coordination is greatly improved as well. Anybody else notice similar things??
Cordell, sounds like you do some bball coaching on the side...good stuff.
I have played basketball, softball, volleyball, biked, hiked and swam.  They all help in some way to prolong ones tennis career.  They all enhance different muscles and more importantly keep the interest up for the game.

Currently play Tennis, squash, badminton. Used to bike alot as well as Basketball, and soccer although the last two are becoming very hard on my knees, so i don't do them anymore. All racquet sports are benificial to the others for differant reasons.

I did Tae Kwon Do for many years, varsity wrestling team, basketball, baseball, water skiing, wake boarding, knee boarding, skiing and snowboarding.  :)  I was a damn good skate boarder back in the day too!
